Philip Ettinger is an American actor born in 1985. His career in film has been marked by notable performances in a range of roles. One of his earliest notable appearances was in Paul Schrader's 2017 film First Reformed, where he portrayed Michael, a troubled environmental activist. This supporting role helped bring him to the attention of audiences and critics alike.

Ettinger has continued to build on this success with significant roles in both film and television. In 2018, he played Garrett Drimmer in the CBS All Access series One Dollar. He also took on the dual role of Dominick and Thomas Birdsey, the young-adult versions of Mark Ruffalo's characters, in HBO's 2020 series I Know This Much Is True. Additionally, Ettinger has appeared in lead roles, including as Cole Freeman in the cinematic adaptation of Carter Sickels' novel The Evening Hour, released in 2020 and directed by Braden King.
