Terry Robbins

American activist (1947 – 1970)

Terry Robbins was a prominent American activist who was active in the far left movement during the late 1960s. Born in 1947, he became a key figure in the Ohio chapter of Students for a Democratic Society, a organization that advocated for social and political change. Through his involvement with the group, Robbins developed strong convictions about the need for radical action to bring about societal transformation.

Robbins' activism ultimately led him to become a member of the Weathermen, a militant offshoot of the Students for a Democratic Society. Tragically, his life was cut short in 1970 when he died in the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion, an incident that also claimed the lives of two other Weathermen. The event marked a turning point in the history of the Weathermen and had significant repercussions for the American left. Despite his short life, Robbins left a lasting impact on the activist movement of his time.
