Oxana Yablonskaya is a renowned pianist who has built a distinguished career spanning multiple continents. Her professional journey began in the early 1960s, initially performing within the Soviet Union. Despite achieving success in several Western competitions, she faced restrictions from the Soviet government, which limited her ability to engage in international performances outside the Soviet bloc. This led to her decision to emigrate to the United States in 1977, seeking greater opportunities for her career.

As an internationally recognized virtuoso, Yablonskaya has established herself as a prominent figure in the music world. She has performed extensively in concerts and recitals globally and has a notable discography. In addition to her performance career, Yablonskaya has also made significant contributions to music education. She was a member of the piano faculty at the prestigious Juilliard School for over 30 years, until her departure in 2009. Later, she relocated to Israel, where she continued to share her expertise as a teacher at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
