Save Ferris

US-amerikanische Band

Save Ferris is a prominent American ska punk band that originated in Orange County, California, around 1995. The band's name pays homage to the iconic 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Initially, they performed at underground venues in Southern California, garnering attention and building a local following. Their early success was marked by a notable achievement in 1996, when they won a Grammy showcase award for best unsigned band, which led to a record deal with Epic Records.

The band's discography began to take shape with the release of their first full-length album, It Means Everything, in 1997. Over time, Save Ferris underwent a stylistic shift, transitioning from ska-pop to pop-punk by 1999. After a period of inactivity, the band resumed their musical endeavors, releasing the Checkered Past EP in 2017. This resurgence marked a new chapter in the band's history, introducing their distinctive sound to a new generation of music enthusiasts. With a career spanning multiple decades, Save Ferris has established itself as a notable presence in the American ska punk scene.
